the music festival I went to a few years back, with Audioslave, and Jimmy eat world, and green day and foo fighters and all the fun sstuff...! It is shutting
down.... they ain't getting the huge bands and only 2000 tickets were sold 3 weeks prior to the event... Not that we don't have other festivals but
still... kinda sad...

First I have to wake up at 7 AM for the concert announcement (Alarm clock's already set) then WWE's having some sweepstakes thing which means I'm gonna be glued to my cell phone during wrestling because they're going to call the winners during the show. I think it's a call in contest thing on her radio station for free gas, Cat.
Ok so I totally dodged a bullet this morning, haha. Well, I tend to check out certain bands' websites who I know are on tour before a major concert announcement to try and find out a few hours/days beforehand so I checked out a bunch of bands over the weekend-- then last night, while I started doing it again, I randomly thought "What if it's Stone Temple Pilots coming to Peoria or something? That would SO make up for me missing out on Ohio." I checked the website and there was nada for central Illinois-- just a Chicago date. So I thought, "eh, maybe not." Woke up this morning and listened to about five minutes of the morning show before Bahan began talking again. "So all this weekend we've been promising a major concert announcement at 7 AM. Well, here it is." Dramatic pause here. "How would you all feel about going to see... STONE TEMPLE PILOTS?!" I squeed loud enough to wake Mom up (Ugh. She's like a dog with a bone sometimes. *rolls eyes*) but then Bahan dashed it a bit, "That's right, on August 13th, Stone Temple Pilots will be invading Bloomington Illinois' Cellular Coliseum and tickets go on sale June 21st!" A) I don't go to Bloomington concerts, because it's about an hour's drive away, so I prefer Peoria and this concert's on a weekday... B) I had to laugh, whywhywhy do the tickets have to go on sale the same day as my WWE ones? But I'm not beyond trying to win free tickets to it. I mean, frick, I would love to see STP live. |
