No Loop, I use a local bank and it was because I used it as a debit card in the local supermarket.
Sifi, I'm glad you are getting help from your parents and that it is working out better than it could be. Silver lining, huh? Dah, I have to agree with Sifi. I think that with your mother spazzing a little about your fathers health, maybe you should spend the time you can with your father. You would rather make the effort now than be regretting it later, I know. And even if she is just overreacting a bit, spend the time you can with him even if it is inconvenient. I know, I sound preachy and stuff, but just think about it. And I know you don't want to talk about it with your mother but it needs to be talked about and she needs to talk to someone, too. She has you as her confidante and she talks to you about the things that bother her. You talk to us and she talks to you so just lend the ear and try to be the calm one. OK so at work today. This lady came in with her 2 young kids and was looking at the nailpolish. The youngest girl dropped one and broke it and started bawling. I went to go clean it up and me and her mom are both telling her it's ok and I was trying to make sure that the glass didn't get her. She kept crying and yelling that it wasn't ok and we told her it was she wasn't in trouble or anything and she's goin 'yes I am! I'm in trouble!' finally her mom told her if she wanted to be in trouble fine she could punish herself but no one here was mad at her. I thought it was kind of cute at least she felt bad about it. I've had adults break one and run. Also, Dad is PISSED at Circuit City. A while back Sears had a really good TV in their ad for really super cheap so Dad went to get it. They told him it was a typo not the price but one letter in the tv. Nothing was posted in their store about it and if that happens for us, we have to give it to them. Dad let it drop and went to Circuit City becasue they do that match price thing. They tried to match it but it was so low the computer wouldn't let them. And they told him it's not that we won't its that we can't. Dad wrote to customer service and after a bit they told him if he still had the ad then yes they'd give it to him for that price. They'd contact our store and everything. We went to get it the other day and the guy was so rude with Dad, Dad had the e-mails saying if you have the ad we'll give it to you and he had the ad. The guy kept telling him he wouldn't do it he'd match the price for what they were selling it today but not for the ad. Dad goes 'so you're telling me that even though your company said that yes they would honor it that you're not going to' and the guy goes 'yes that's what I'm saying' I'm a lil surprised Dad kept his cool about it. We got out and he was livid! He's obviously contacting customer service again because that's crap. We've never had a problem with them before. Proud Member of the DTMLFG. Jeeeze... So here is where I think the problem is... The heads higher up should issue some kinda valid print out that could be taken to said store... Like your
dad telling em where you guys shop, and then they could give you guys a copy of a letter saying you would get it, as well as a notification that the same copy
was sent to them...

Loop, that is kinda cute that she was upset about it. I guess her parents brought her up right. As for Circuit City, they are losing the war with Best Buy in everything else, why not Customer Service, too? That does suck but I think that the people who e-mailed you should have e-mailed the store as well and that whoever they send the e-mail to (a manager) should be identified on your notice too so that you guys know who to go see. I read somewhere that Circuit City may not last through this recession. It's highly unlikely that they are even contenders from what I've been hearing. "Okay, everyone pretend to be normal!" I agree they need to either send something official or give a name of a manager they contacted. Although I'm trying to figure out why Dad's so worried
about a TV right now when he keeps telling us we have to move in what 2 months. Sometimes his priorities don't make sense.

I hate, HATE Kansas City's bus system.
I can get to work fne. In fact, it's easy. I've got it down. It's the getting home that' a pain in the ass. See, I have to catch one bus at UMKC which will take me north (when I'm trying to go South) to pick up a bus that'll take me South and past my apartment. I know the buses to catch. The problem is that if bus #1 is running a couple minutes late, I will end up missing bus #2. Which is the last bus that will take me the direction of home. I can't live like this. I need something else. I need to fudgin' DRIVE again! I don't care about gas prices. This is ridiculous! Oh, and I ended up complaining about the driver of bus #2. See, since I'm new to this system I thought I'd ask if there was a chance he could wait a couple minutes--because so far bus #1 has only been a couple minutes late. (Oh, I should mention that I did catch #2. As soon as bus #1 dropped me off, I RAN to bus #2, which was pulling out.) So, I asked the bus driver if there's any way he could wait a couple of minutes, because I'm on my way! That driver is an asshole. He snapped at me for asking a question. His advice that he snapped at me: call the dispatcher and see if I can't get the dispatcher to tell him to wait. When I called to complain, found out that this wasn't good advice at all. The dispatchers don't work that way. So, I freakin' HATE the bus system. Kat

OK, I may have made a mistake, but I emailed Kathleen, asking if I could get off about 10 minutes early until I come up with an alternative system of transportation. Because I can't rely on the bus system, and the bus that I would like to try leaves about 3 blocks away at 5:07. I need to get off at 4:50 in order to catch it. I hope I didn't make a mistake. Kat
