So yesterday I had the house to myself ALL day. It was bliss. Mom woke me up at 9:30 to say bye, then I got online for awhile, napped for like an hour because the five hours of sleep I got wasn't holding me. Mom called at around 12:30 to say she had arrived, and had me talk to Dad for a minute, which argh... dude hit the mute button so I was talking to dead air for awhile. Had a bit more online/TV time. Then I went and got some supper at the fast food place a few blocks over-- a chicken strip sandwich, which I've never had before, and some fries with my strawberry frozen yogurt for dessert. Mom called while I was at the place, waiting for my food to be brought out, because she has spectacular timing like that. Spent the evening alternating between my own TV for tapes, and the living room TV for Wipeout, ECW, General Hospital Night Shift and Kimmel. That was fun, although the living room is at least double the size of my bedroom so the TV looked REALLY far away from the couch, lol. Using the TV with the DVR was wise, though. Mom called RIGHT as ECW started, freaking out because she was hearing noises at the guest house so I got to pause the TV and talk to her for about twenty minutes (Which included me checking the radar for her... even though it was perfectly clear for the whole state, turned out she was hearing trains lol) till finally I had to say that I had to go and watch wrestling or risk missing General Hospital Night Shift. Came back in here after Kimmel, and talked with my friend Jackie on the phone a bit, then started my messengers up and talked with Loopy awhile, while playing at Pogo.com. Mom called at like, 2:30 AM, freaking out again because the noises got to her so bad, she turned the window air conditioner on for a few hours, and now she was cold... so we talked for awhile, and now listening to HER freak out had ME freaking out, I kept moving the phone away, because I thought I was hearing things. Loopy went to bed around 4 AM my time, so I finished up a couple things and turned the TV on, willing myself to fall asleep to Roseanne (So *I* wouldn't hear any noises :P), which I did at around 4:30 AM.

I was blissfully asleep at 9:20 AM when my phone started vibrating next to my pillow. Jerked awake and grabbed it to discover it was my glorious grandmother. Grumble grumble... as I've told a couple of you, she said not even a week ago that A) Mom needs a psychiatrist and B) is a horrible mother because I'm unemployed and doesn't drive. It tempts me to collect all my fellow non-drivers in the area and tell them "Did you know in the opinion of a certain woman, if you don't drive, your parents did a horrible job with you?" but I digress. So I muted my TV (LOL I had fallen asleep WITH my glasses on, remote next to my hand and phone by my pillow. No wonder my glasses were a smudged mess by the time I woke up =|) and answered. We talked briefly, the usual stupid questions, such as "Did I wake you, what did you do yesterday, have you talked to your mother, how did things go over there, when is your mom supposed to be home, what are you going to do today? blahblah" and I somehow kept my cool through it all, and she let me go within two minutes. I considered calling Mom to let her know Grandma called, but eventually returned to my TV and watched a bit of VH1 before flipping my glasses off (finally!) and burrowing back into my pillow. I woke up again slightly after noon, and I've been here since lol. Oh and my Pepsi shirt came in three hours ago. Tis the third thing I've redeemed off of the Pepsistuff promo :D

Anyway, Mom should be home in about two hours or so, if that's still the plan (She hasn't called me since 2 AM. Maybe the guest house room ate her?) so... still, fun evening. And I and the house survived without blowing up, catching on fire, or anything else bad like that so double win.
